Cheese Burger - Low Carb Recipe

Ingredients :

1lb 80/20 Ground Chuck
4 Cheese Slices
1 Tblsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper

Directions:

In a bowl, mix the beef, garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Seperate the mixture into 3 pieces and using your hands, form 3 patties.

Stove Top Method - preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add oil to skillet and then add the burgers. Allow to sear on one side for 3 - 4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side. To help ensure even cooking, you could also cover to help steam.

Grill Method - Preheat the grill. Add the burgers to the grill and allow to cook for 3 - 4 minutes per side and then flip.

Top burgers with cheese and add condiments (pickles, onion slice, salsa, tomato slice, mustard, mayo, avocado slice, lettuce, bacon, etc.)

Makes : 3 Serving
Carbs per serving : 1g of net carbs

Notes: I like doubling the recipe and freezing any unused portionsf or quick-fix meals in the future. If you wanted a bun, you could just wrap the burger with a lettuce leaf or two to act as a bun, otherwise bread just isn't low carb and not recommended during weight loss low carb dieting.

You could also add other spices before grilling, like chili powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, etc.
