Just how much sugar is in a soft drink?

One of the easiest ways to reduce carbohydrate intake is to stop drinking beverages that have empty calories and are loaded with sugar. Play the vid above to get a visual impression of just how much sugar is in your soft drink. And I know people who drink a lot more than 20oz in a day.

1 teaspoon of sugar has about 4g of sugar.  The same goes for a packet of sugar.  And a regular 20 oz soft drink has approximately 69g of sugar.

By the way, the low carb weight loss plan of daily carbs is about 20g of carbs per day. So the amount of carbs in one soft drink is about 3.5 days worth of carbs for many low carbers. Is it worth it? I don’t think so.

Want to drink something? Try unsweetened ice tea, preferably green tea, or water is still the best drink of choice.
